A faculty member in the College of Science, University of Al-Mustansiriyah published a research in the International Journal of IJPRIF on effect against the bio-membrane of the dextran-genamycin-PVP bio-polymer synthesis in catheterization tools.
The research aimed at detecting the effectiveness of the produced locally dextran polymer from Leuconostoc mesentroides and gentamicin and PVP effect in inhibiting the formation of the biochemical membrane of pathogenic bacteria in urinary catheters.
The research reviewed that using of the produced locally dextran polymer from Leuconostoc mesentroides and gentamicin and PVP effect in inhibiting the formation of the biochemical membrane on these medical instruments and protecting them against bacterial contamination.
