During a quadrilateral meeting with the Director of UNESCO to Iraq, Mr. Paulo Fontani, Manager of UNESCO, Mr. Robert Shaw, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Abd Al-Amir Al-Hamdani and Deputy of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Dr. Abdul Karim Shalal, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail reviewed the need to obtain precise details of the project of reforming technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Iraq by the UNESCO in order to develop a common vision by the three concerned Ministries to be submitted to the UNESCO. Dr. Al-Suhail highlighted that the project will provide jobs for young people and will contribute in restoring the heritage infrastructure of the two cities. For their part, the delegation reviewed that the project to hold courses and workshops to train and improve the skills of young craftsmen and workers in the reconstruction of the heritage and civilization fields in the Cities of Mosul and Basra. It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by Director General of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Dr. Amjad Al-Sawad.
