The faculty member in the Laser and Photonics Center, University of Al-Hamdaniya, Dr. Bushra Habib Ahmed reviewed preparing a nanoparticle to treat primary tooth caries without the need to use fillings. Dr. Ahmed highlighted that the susceptibility of calcium oxide nanoparticle with different concentrations on re-treating and restoring the enamel layer to the tooth in the early stages of caries, as well as treating samples with chewing gum that 100% saturated with nanoparticles of calcium oxide. Dr. Ahmed also reviewed that the saturated chewing gum with nanoparticles of calcium oxide can control primitive caries and restore tooth restoration without the need for fillings as well as the greater the concentration of calcium oxide in the gum the faster the restoration will be.
