College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk discussed a master dissertation on the effect of foliar spraying with growth regulators CPPU and CCC and potting soil cover on the growth and flowering characteristics of shrub rose plant by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Sakar Nawzad Sattar.
The dissertation demonstrated the effect of spraying with different levels of the growth regulator (CPPU) in improving the growth, flowering, anthocyanin content of flowers, their life after picking, the leaf content of mineral elements of shrubby roses and the effect of spraying with a cyclocel growth retardant (CCC) on Improving the characteristics of growth, flowering, the anthocyanin content of flowers, their life after picking and the mineral content of leaves of shrubby roses.
The dissertation concluded that the interaction between the studied factors showed a significant positive effect on obtaining good-growing plants and their flowering characteristics.
