College of Sciences, University of Kirkuk organized a symposium on the astral spectra.
The sympsoium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included delivering a lecture on identifying astral spectra and importance of studying astral spectra as celestial bodies and the DNA of each celestial body because they help in analyzing the star spectrum and providing the physical properties and chemical composition of the stars.
The symposium included reviewing the use of the absorption spectra to determine the chemical composition of the constituent elements of the star, as well as the use of the emission spectrum to obtain the highest wavelength possible besides mentioning Wien's displacement law can also be used to review the star's temperature, apply laws and physical equations, Counting the mass and radius, the age of the star and the speed of its movement.
