A joint research team from Kufa and Technology Universities obtained a patent on manufacturing of polymer overlapping and Nano-materials to a hip joint prosthetic and studying of friction erosion via a special system. The patent reviewed reinforcing the polymer used in replacing the polyethylene hip joint with very high molecular weight via adding Nano-materials represented by carbon nanotubes. It is worth mentioning that the patents also reviewed that a fusion occurred between the polymer chains and additives.
