Misan, Basrah Universities in Joint Study

A joint research team in the College of Medicine, University of Misan, Dr. Ishraq Jassim Hassan and the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah, Dr. Batoul Salem Hamza and Dr. Zainab Waheed Khudhair conducted joint study on the efficiency of histopathological and physiological variables of hyperostosis associated with doxoruicin therapy for patients with cancer. The joint study reviewed the effectiveness of using Doxorubicin as an anti-cancer treatment, as one of the types of chemical treatments for cancer patients, as well as reviewing its side effects. The joint study demonstrated the emergence of enlargement of the outer part of the bones resulting from the increase in the size of the chondrocyte bone cells and the absence of proliferating cartilage cells with the appearance of clear bone tissue inside the Haversian duct, especially in the high-dose animals of the treatment.
