College of Administration and Economics, University of Misan held a symposium on unconventional energy sources. The symposium, in which a number of faculty members and students participated, reviewed the concept of the conventional and unconventional energy and its sources in its renewable and non-renewable types such as oil, rock gas, methane gas, oil sands and other sources. The symposium also reviewed the unconventional sources of energy such as solar, hydropower, wind and biofuels as a clean, non-polluting energy. The symposium highlighted that the unconventional energy can be applied in Iraq because of the availability of the production requirements, as well as the importance of investing these energies in order to improve the economic reality in Iraq.
