College of Political Science, University of Mosul held an online symposium on the application of democracy in post-conflict countries in light of the international governance standards. The online symposium reviewed the role of the United Nations in supporting the democratic transition, its consolidation in post-conflict countries and mechanisms for its transformation, as well as its role in protecting environmental rights and the problem of controlling security and restoring peace. The online symposium highlighted implementing democracy, achieving development, respecting human rights and its relation to combating terrorism.
