A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Engineering, University of Mosul on the effect of different types of nanoparticles on the performance of the double-tube heat exchanger by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Banan Najm El-Din. The dissertation included conducting a numerical and experimental study to improve the performance of a double-tube counter-flow heat exchanger using different nanoparticles mixed with pure water as a base. The dissertation concluded that adding nanoparticles increases the rate of heat transfer between the two fluids in the exchanger and increases the effectiveness of the exchanger. The dissertation recommended using of different types and concentrations of nanoparticles, different base, one-way flow and comparing them with the current study.
