Two students in the Middle Technical University obtained a patent on producing of synthetic silk extracted form date palms.
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, included producing silk cellulose fiber extracted from palm fronds and producing removal of non-cellulosic materials.
