The Baghdad Institute of Technology organized a symposium on marine and coastal surveillance systems.
The symposium, in which a number of specialists participated, included delivering a lecture on identifying the basic solutions that can be expanded in supporting of a number of roles such as rapid response operations during disasters, search and rescue and environmental protection to command and control for the benefit of the naval force.
The symposium recommended the need to form laws and legislation to support the efforts of controlling the maritime security and maritime navigation control.
