A joint scientific team in the University of Technology and College of Materials Engineering, University of Babylon obtained a patent on extracting super-absorbent Nano-particle polymers from the harmful Nile flower herb to be use in reinforcing concrete, combating desertification and treating rheumatism patients.
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, included exploiting the high absorbency of the harmful Nile flower plant to be used in manufacturing of super absorbent Nano- polymer compound.
