A joint research team in the Universities of Al-Mustansiriyah and Baghdad conducted a joint study on the activity of new antimicrobial and antifungal Benzimidazole compounds. The joint study reviewed the partial dilution process to evaluate the activity of a number of new Benzimidazole compounds that carry different heterocyclics against a group of positive and negative Fungi, Gram and Microbes, testing of energies for highest occupied plane, lowest unoccupied plane, vibrational waves via the density functional theory (DFT) and structures of these compounds mediated by infrared spectra, proton nuclear resonance and mass spectroscopy. The joint study, which was published in the Egyptian Journal of Chemistry in Scopus, concluded that the new Benzimidazole compounds have a clear anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity to be used in future pharmaceutical applications and industries. It is worth mentioning that the joint research team was the faculty members in Al-Mustansiriyah University, Dr. Ali Taher Mohi, Dr. Faryal Wali and Mr. Hussein Jassem and the faculty member in Baghdad University, Mrs. Hoda Ismail Al-Rubaie.
