College of Arts, University of Kirkuk organized its 1st international scientific conference on the role of educational institutions in developing community via Zoom Platform, Dean of the College, Dr. Omar Najmuddin Anga said. Dr. Anga added that the conference, which was entitled (cognitive and societal performance is a way to advance educational institutions), reviewed the role of scientific research in the fields of human sciences to serve community and to build bridges of communication among researchers in order to exchange experiences and address relevant scientific issues. Dr. Anga continued by saying that the conference demonstrated a number of axes on the role of linguistic and literary studies in the development of peoples, the stages of development of the City of Kirkuk and the importance of media in consolidating peaceful coexistence and rejecting violence, as well as the role of modern geographic technologies in studying of natural and human phenomena. Dr. Anga said that the conference is a start for the College of Arts to build bridges of scientific cooperation with the information world, as well as the City of Kirkuk is a scientific and cultural incubator for knowledge.
