College of Science, University of Al-Mustansiriyah inaugurated a smart laboratory and an electronic learning platform for the Mathematics Department in the college, President of the University, Dr. Hameed Fadhil Al-Tememi said. Dr. Al-Tememi added that the laboratory and the platform are part of the university’s plans to develop the level of infrastructure, rehabilitate and create scientific laboratories and expand the use of modern advanced e-learning systems to keep pace with the international universities in light of the strategy of the Ministry to adopt integrated education for the next academic year 2020 – 2021. For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Faraj Shathir said that the laboratory, which was equipped with (30) new computers, works according to the latest smart laboratory management systems and it is characterized by speed and the ability to manage all its computers via a main computer to be controlled by the instructor, as well as providing the opportunity to conduct e-learning exams and student training, while the e-learning platform provides various educational services for pre-graduate and postgraduate students, including indexing the curricula in one accessible point, organizing studying schedules, maintaining communication between faculty members and students, as well as accessing to all information related to the educational process in the Department.
