The National Center for Diabetes, University of Al-Mustansiriyah delivered a lecture on insulin pump and treating type 1 diabetes patients.
The lecture, in which a number of researchers, doctors and postgraduates participated, aimed at highlighting modern techniques in treating diabetes besides the insulin will be injected slowly according to the amount of food.
It is worth mentioning that the insulin pump consists of a small electronic device proves the pump over the skin connected to the tube and plastic needle subcutaneous installed in the abdomen or buttocks.
