College of Dentistry, University of Al-Muthana organized a workshop on the risks of misuse of antibiotics, the Faculty Member in the College, Dr. Lara Qaiser Hamza said. Dr. Hamza added that the workshop reviewed the risks of misuse of antibiotics, spreading health awareness, the importance of the correct use of antibiotics and stating the risks of misuse of broadly effective antibiotics that lead to serious health damage. Dr. Hamza highlighted that the workshop recommended the need to focus on the epidemiology of bacterial resistance, not to use the antibiotic without consulting a specialist doctor and to use it in a regular and non-random way.
