College of Biotechnologies, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a training course on the electric relay technology of DNA. The course, in which a number of faculty members participated, reviewed DNA electric relay technology via using the macroscopic gel layer to conduct the electrolysis of the extracted DNA from the blood and to cut the genes that were separated via using the double chain polymerase reaction. The course highlighted DNA and RNA molecules that carry an original negative charge because of their phosphate-containing spine otherwise the proteins carry different charge on their surface depending on their amino acid. The course included a complete experiment of electrical relay in the practical part, training a number of faculty members and students to prepare the gel and samples in the special slides, operating of the electric relay and examining of the results via using an ultraviolet device.
