College of Education, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a symposium on the role of stem cells in treating incurable diseases. The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed Stem Cells, its role in medical biomedical research such as treating of intractable diseases such as cancer, genetic diseases, heart, diabetes and arthritis and developing of drugs. The symposium also reviewed the various methods and techniques in which stem cells are being used for researches and developing of these technologies in advanced countries and highlighting the private banks of such cells as a promising transition from traditional medicine to new horizons that were not previously revealed.
