Al-Iraqia University’s Master’s Dissertation: On Mechanisms of Transformation Towards Smart Factories

College of Engineering, Al-Iraqia University discussed master dissertation on the mechanisms of shifting towards smart factories to keep pace with future requirements by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Maryam Abdul Hakim Hailan.

 

The dissertation reviewed the mechanisms of upgrading a traditional factory to a contemporary factory by integrating the Internet of Things (IOT) and predictive maintenance service as part of the industrial system for managing the factory.


The dissertation highlighted that the plastic bottle recycling to test the smart transformation of the factory and enable the Internet of Things in smart devices to collect, analyze and automatically transfer data from industrial systems in real time.


The dissertation demonstrated development of an effective user interface on the Blynk platform and a local user interface designed using the Python language to monitor and diagnose engine malfunctions with a test accuracy of 99.41%.
