Al-Karkh University of Science organized a symposium on implementing h-index to evaluate the quality of scientific research, Director-General of Research and Development, Dr. Ghasan Hameed Abdul Majeed said.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and faculty members participated, included delivering a lecture on identifying h-index and Scopus (Web of Science) to improve the classification of the index via correct registration and required citations.
The symposium aimed at raising the awareness of researchers to register in one of the recognized databases to promote classifying the university locally and internationally.
