College of Science, University of Babylon organized a symposium on desertification and its environmental impacts.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, aimed at addressing water shortage and developing plans in order to eradicate desertification as well as dust storms resulting from desertification reach its climax in Iraq and the region in the summer besides the sand dunes which considered as natural resources that can be invested as a main raw material in the glass and construction industries.
