University of Baghdad obtained (201-250) score in the ranking of the British Times (The Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings for 2019) of the best universities in Asia, President of the University, Dr. Alla Abd Al-Hussain said. Dr. Abd Al-Hussain added that "The Times Foundation conducted the ranking for the institutions of higher education of 417 universities from 28 Asian countries. Dr. Abd Al-Hussain reviewed that the University deserves to be a competitive counterpart to the university institutions in the region and the world. Dr. Abd Al-Hussain praised the efforts of researchers who have achieved an important presence in the international scientific websites. It is worth mentioning that the University was nominated by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and obtained the (801-1000) score as the first Iraqi university obtained top ranking.
