During a meeting with Iranian Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Tehran University of Medical Sciences, University of Basra inked an academic cooperation agreement, President of the University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Homadi said. Dr. Homadi added that the two sides agreed on inaugurating a center for stem cells, bone transplantation and tumors, a center for endocrine glands at the University of Basra, exchanging visits between faculty members of the two sides as well as exchanging scientific, research and applied experiences. Dr. Homadi reviewed that the agreement highlighted allocating of a number of scholarships for postgraduate students with the two universities and activating of scientific twinning programs between the two sides’ departments as well as authoring, publishing and scientific translation besides exchanging academic curricula of university and postgraduate studies and scientific publications.
