Diyala University: On Seaweed as Alternative Food

College of Basic Education, University of Diyala organized a symposium on using seaweed as alternative food.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers participated, included identifying algae types, which contain many elements, vitamins and minerals as useful elements for human body.

The symposium reviewed the spirulina alga which grows in saline tropical lakes and it is one of the most important algae used in manufacturing tablets for weight loss and making bread
