During a meeting with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Iraq, Mr. Walid Muhammad Ismail, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed prospects for scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.

Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed on that Iraqi universities and educational institutions are looking forward to bridge scientific and academic cooperation with Egyptian educational institutions, especially after launching the (Study in Iraq) project and initiative for admitting Arab and foreign students in Iraqi universities.

His Excellency highlighted the readiness of Iraqi universities to provide scholarships to non-Iraqi students wishing to complete their university and higher studies in various specializations.

For his part, Mr. Ismail welcomed the initiative of the His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi to admit Arab and foreign students in Iraqi universities.

Mr. Ismail stressed on the Egyptian side’s readiness on activating joint programs for the exchange of admission of students in the universities of the two countries.
