His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani met with student representatives from the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah. 

Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani listened to their demands and perspectives on the issues raised, emphasizing the importance of direct dialogue and responsible understanding in addressing challenges ensuring that students’ rights are upheld while safeguarding the educational process.

His Excellency affirmed that the Ministry takes the students’ demands seriously. 

Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani said that the Ministry’s commitment to foster a suitable university environment that enables the institution to fulfill its academic and educational mission.

His Excellency stressed the necessity of pursuing institutional solutions in accordance with existing laws and regulations. 

Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani also called for strengthening positive communication between students and university deanships to build mutual trust and preserve the professional and academic standing of the faculty.

For his part, the Governor of Basrah, Eng. Asaad Al-Eidani pledged to address the logistical challenges facing students at the College of Medicine, promising to take the necessary steps to remove obstacles and provide the essential requirements to create an appropriate university environment for them.

It is worth mentioning that meeting was attended by the Governor of Basra, Engineer Asaad Al-Eidani, and a representative of the Academic Syndicate in Basra, Dr. Diaa Al-Fakiki.
