During Iraqi University's Day & Graduation Ceremony, Dr. Al-Aboudi Honors Top Graduates & His Excellency Emphasizes keeping Pace’s Importance with Job Market & Enhancing Academic Reputation

During the ceremony, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi honored the top graduates on the graduation of the 32nd class at the Iraqi University and the anniversary of its founding more than three decades ago.


Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed that the graduation of a new cohort of students places an additional responsibility on everyone to safeguard the academic reputation of the university.


His Excellency highlighted that scholars, faculty members, researchers and students have contributed over decades to strengthen the university's standing in various academic fields, making it a competitive environment in education, learning, scientific research and keeping pace with the demands of the job market in both the public and private sectors.


Dr. Al-Aboudi urged universities to analyze the realities of developmental challenges and problems, implement practical solutions within the diverse institutional environment, and empower graduates to make a qualitative impact in scientific, academic and professional fields.


It is significant to mention that the ceremony was attended by the Deputies of the Ministry, the Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, university presidents, the Head of the Scientific Research Association and directors general, as well as including delivering a speech by the President of the Iraqi University, Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri, displaying a film about the university, delivering a speech by the graduates, awarding of certificates, and the recitation of the university oath and the medical oath, as well as honoring of the top students at the university and college level.
