During a visit of the Iraqi delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to meet the Iraqi scholars in the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib delivered a message that His Excellency emphasizes on the need to represent Iraq in the best way in terms of knowledge acquisition and academic performance, Director General of Scholarships and Cultural Relations and the Ministry’s Adviser, Dr. Ali Hamid Kadhim Al-Shukry said. Dr. Al-Shukry added that the delegation reviews the observations of Iraqi scholars, their perceptions of studying in Egyptian universities and the nature of the contexts and procedures related to the foreign students. Dr. Al-Shukry delivered the message and greeting of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib and His Excellency confirms on the keenness on the knowledge achievement because every Iraqi student abroad represents a messenger and ambassador for Iraq in the country of study. Dr. Al-Shukry continued by saying that His Excellency said that “our country, Iraq, should be represented in the best way in terms of educational attainment, knowledge and academic performance, as well as adherence to the safety and health protection procedures specified by the competent health authorities. Dr. Al-Shukry expressed the vigorous follow-up by His Excellency for Iraqi scholars’ affairs in light of the comprehensive executive agreement that drafted, reviewed and defined its detailed contents and scientific frameworks by the Iraqi High Education Minister on 11/15/2020 via a closed online meeting with the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar. It is worth mentioning that Iraq and Egypt inked an executive agreement for scientific and cultural cooperation in the field of higher education and continuing bilateral cooperation between the universities of the two countries and their scientific institutions to ensure the achievement of twinning between the two sides and provide scholarships for Iraqi students in pre and postgraduate studies in all specialties.
