A faculty member in the University of Wasit participated in the International Conference of Membrane Science and Technology, France.
The participation was represented by a research on the activity of benzene in the saturated layer of soil.
The research included conducting practical experiments via using five velocities of porous water used to measure longitudinal, transverse and vertical propagation factors besides calculating the mass transfer factors in order to study distributing benzene starting from reservoir to the spreading it horizontally along the midline within the horizontal and vertical level (xz) in laboratory reservoir.
The study reviewed the distillation of dissolved gasoline was relatively low when the concentration increased from 140.5 mg / l (7094% of solubility) to 270.7 mg / l (15029% of solubility) besides increasing time from 1 day to 60 days at speed of (0.90 cm / h) with benzene concentration of 0 mg / L at a vertical distance of 7 cm to 9 cm.
