Directorate of Training, merged Ministry of Science and Technology organized a course on using radioactive iodine in diagnosing and treating thyroid diseases.
The course reviewed thyroid, its symptoms, methods of detecting congenital hypothyroidism and treating methods as well as using radioactive iodine in physiotherapy.
The course also reviewed that radioactive iodine is distinguished via the ability of not being stored in the organs of the body.
