Department of Environment and Water, merged Ministry of Science and Technology delivered a lecture on soil and groundwater treatment techniques.
The lecture reviewed the potential contaminated sites in Iraq that could be harmful to the public health when these pollutants reach via groundwater directly to consumers or to water resources.
The lecture also reviewed methods of treating contaminated soils by various organic compounds and hazardous inorganic pollutants.
