During the meeting with a delegation from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed ways to develop cooperation in line with national priorities and development plans.

Higher Education highlighted that the two sides demonstrated a comprehensive evaluation of completed and ongoing programs and projects, as well as developing cooperation mechanisms to ensure the optimal implementation of these programs to improve the quality of education, achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, and prepare and qualify specialized national talents capable of leading academic and research transformation.

For his part, the Deputy of the Ministry of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd emphasized expanding cooperation and strengthening institutional coordination with relevant international organizations, particularly UNESCO, and to enhance support for rigorous research initiatives and projects that keep pace with scientific and knowledge advancements, as well as enhancing the quality of scientific research outputs and serving the paths of sustainable development.
