During a meeting with Japanese Mitsubishi Company of Oil, Basra University for Oil and Gas reviewed methods of joint academic cooperation in the field of training university students and providing university laboratories with the latest equipment. The meeting also reviewed training students of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, providing job opportunities for graduates in the international oil companies, approving mechanism of cooperation in the field of training the students of the university on the latest technologies in the fields of oil and gas  and supporting the university through advanced equipment to study laboratories and Raising the level of students in the practical side. For their part, the representative of the company expressed their keenness on cooperating with the University, providing service to the framework of joint scientific exchanging with the scientific institutions in Basra and providing scholarships as well as training classes during the summer vacation.
