During a meeting of Higher Council for Private Higher Education, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail reviewed the importance of applying the procedures of scientific sobriety and standards in the private universities and colleges. His Excellency said that the Ministry is keen on setting plans and standards to promote the institutions of private education to be a complementary to the public education. Dr. Al-Suhail added that the Ministry is working on improving the level of private universities and colleges in light of the scientific standards of the articles of private education in Iraq. It is worth mentioning that the meeting also reviewed the mechanisms of setting electronic systems to follow up the students' attendance and absence, activating the system of exchanging faculty members between public and private universities and the mechanism of scientific promotions and the publication of researches in the international journals.
