During the National Day of the Holy Quran ceremony organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi directed on creating a new channel to admit Quran memorizers in postgraduate studies.
Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed that the Ministry is working to enable its universities to play effective roles in the field of the Holy Quran and Quranic studies.
His Excellency called on the Department of Research and Development to organize the mechanisms and controls for testing and competition in the new channel.
Dr. Al-Aboudi urged the colleges and specialized departments to employ modern technologies and artificial intelligence in various Quranic studies.
His Excellency added that focusing on these contexts is consistent with and stems from the vision and mission of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that this field is the most important tributary of knowledge in which Muslims and non-Muslims have worked and are working in the past and present, which calls for cooperation in order to spread it and embody its goals and philosophy.
His Excellency said that the ceremony witnessed official speeches, supplications, an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, and honoring a group of Quran reciters and students accepted into the Quran Memorizers Channel in Iraqi universities.
It is worth to be mentioned that the ceremony was attended by university presidents, deans of colleges, representatives of faculty members and students admitted within the Quran memorizers channel in undergraduate university studies.
