During the third annual Iraqi Artificial Intelligence Forum held by the University of Information Technology and Communications and Al-Mustaqbal University, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi honored the winners of the Excellence Award for Artificial Intelligence Developers.

Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirms its interest in this aspect, which required establishing a college for artificial intelligence and specialized departments and centers and supporting the development of curricula related to artificial intelligence and integrating them into various academic programs, as well as launching the Artificial Intelligence Award in scientific research and establishing artificial intelligence engineering clubs in universities and colleges and laying the foundation stone for artificial intelligence and cybersecurity laboratory projects.

His Excellency added that the accelerating indicator of growth rates within the artificial intelligence space imposes simultaneous entitlements, as well as providing important possibilities for cognitive and procedural expansion.

Dr. Al-Aboudi demonstrated the importance of harnessing artificial intelligence in the stages of education and learning, anticipating the results and making every effort to develop tools, technologies and research that enhance the ability to understand and comprehend current challenges and requirements.

It is worth to be mentioned that the forum included delivering a speech by the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, and a presentation of success stories and inspiring experiences in artificial intelligence applications, while the three best projects for artificial intelligence developers were honored, as well as holding a dialogue session on the experts’ visions regarding the future of artificial intelligence, as well as holding an exhibition of equipment and applications related to artificial intelligence.
