The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on discussing the first master's dissertation for international students admitted at the Iraqi universities within the Study in Iraq program, launched by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi in 2023.

Higher Education highlighted that the dissertation of international student from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ms. Marwa Al-Mawajdah studying chemistry from the College of Science at University of Mosul, as well as the dissertation was entitled: "The Rule of Thiosulfate Sulfurtransferase in Type 2 Diabetes."

Higher Education demonstrated that a number of specialists from the College of Science at University of Mosul and the College of Allied Medical Sciences at Mutah University in Jordan participated in the discussion as committee members.

It is worth to be mentioned that His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi announced on admitting of more than 3,000 international students into Iraqi universities in the first and second editions of the Study in Iraq program for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as the Ministry is preparing to launch the third edition for the 2025/2026 .
