The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed that Iraqi and Iranian universities signed 100 memoranda of understanding to develop scientific cooperation within the activities of the Science Week currently being held in Karbala.

Higher Education highlighted that the memoranda of understanding included enhancing scientific exchange in various scientific and technological disciplines, organizing joint training programs for students and faculty members, exchanging academic expertise in the fields of scientific research, developing cooperation in the fields of modern technology and innovation, and focusing on their practical applications that contribute in developing the economic and scientific sectors and establishing scientific and technical parks in Iraqi universities.

Higher Education demonstrated that the universities of the two countries agreed to implement research projects and encourage cooperation in the field of joint scientific supervision, updating curricula and exchanging scholarships.
