A joint research team in the Universities of Al-Mustansiriyah and Baghdad and Ministry of Education obtained a patent on designing a sports force measuring device (S.F.M.D).
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, aimed at designing a device consisting of force sensors installed in the swimmer's palm and connected wirelessly to an electronic system that calculates and displays the values of the force-time curves of the swimmer's arms and the range of used forces by the swimmer.
