Technical College, Middle Technical University -Baghdad organized a symposium on the role of the banking system in financing economic projects in Iraq.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed bank financing for economic projects and private business, financing programs and lending the small enterprises.
The symposium aimed at meeting the need for specialized financial and banking expertise to identify the reality of financing small and medium- economic projects in Iraq after 2003.
The symposium recommended the importance of activating the role of government development banks and transferring their functions from comprehensive banks to specialized banks according to the basic objectives.
