The Iraqi Center for Cancer Research and Medical Genetics at Mustansiriya University organized a scientific symposium on employing modern digital technologies in analyzing the genetic mutations of cancerous tumors, with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists.

The symposium was presented by Dr. Sundus Khawam Alwan, aimed at highlighting the importance of bioinformatics and digital technologies in analyzing the genetic data of tumors and detecting mutations associated with the emergence and development of cancer, thus contributing to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment and support personalized medicine.

The symposium included discussions on the latest software and tools used in cancer genome analysis, mechanisms for handling genetic data, and the role of computer technologies in discovering mutations and biomarkers.

The symposium recommended the importance of strengthening the integration between medical and genetic sciences and modern digital technologies and developing research in the field of genetic data analysis, which will contribute to achieve more accurate methods for diagnosing and treat tumors.
