Engineering Technical College, Northern Technical University discussed a master dissertation on designing of a smart grid system based on renewable energies to support and manage energy by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Dina Khaled Hashim.
The dissertation aimed at building a smart grid system that relies on renewable energy sources in order to manage energy and reduce the consumption of the main grid via relying on the source of wind and solar energy.
The dissertation recommended the need to increase the use of renewable energies as an alternative to traditional energies that caused problems in the weather and increased pollution, and to search for a new algorithm that could solve the problem of energy management and improve the management of renewable hybrid energies systems via providing energy to the largest number of users, enhancing the capacity factor and reducing distortions and unwanted frequencies.
