The researcher in the Technical Institute-Hawija, Northern Technical University, Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed obtained a patent on designing the cylindrical keeping hot water solar collector. The patent reviewed designing of a model of stored solar collector to be used in keeping water heat which is suitable for the Iraqi environment that characterized of easiness manufacture without a need for high technology. The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, aimed at contributing to reduce electrical energy consumption and decrease environmental pollution.
