Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Technology held a symposium on high voltage engineering. The symposium, in which a number of faculty members participated, reviewed of the concept of high voltage engineering, challenges facing the energy sector and contribution of superconductors in providing solutions to the problems. The symposium highlighted rehabilitating the Department’s lab of high voltage to support the laboratory work for students of pre-graduate and postgraduate studies as well as benefiting from it in the testing cables and electrical equipment in the future.
