College of Applied Sciences, University of Samarra organized an online symposium on using of ruthenium compounds as an anti-cancer treatment. The online symposium reviewed using Ruthenium compounds in the treatment of cancer, as they are water-soluble compounds with few side effects and low toxicity that can be taken orally. The online symposium highlighted that platinum mixed with Alkuaine and Adenine to prevent the formation of cancer cells, as the chlorine molecule is replaced by a water molecule, which leads to the exit of water as it is a weak Ligand and the compound linked to the DNA.
