College of Science, University of Thi-Qar discussed a Ph.D. thesis on designing of a flow injection system to improve some properties of crude oil by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ahmed Abdul-Razzaq Hadi.
The thesis aimed at designing and construction of a two-pump flow injection system that works through a computer program designed by the researcher automatically.
The thesis demonstrated improving the specifications of Iraqi crude oil such as API, sulfur content and asphalts, because of their significant negative effects on refining operations and its impact on the marketing of crude oil and its derivatives.
The thesis confirmed the effect of the applied variables on the extraction process of sulfur and asphalts with a confidence level of 0.05.
