University Al-Mustansiriyah’s Master’s Dissertation: On Anti-Cancer & Bood-Clotting Activity Of Serratiopeptidase Enzyme

College of Science,  University of Al-Mustansiriyah discussed a master dissertation on studying of the anti-cancer and blood-thrombolytic activity of the Serratiopeptidase enzyme purified from the bacterium Serratia Marcescens by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Zahraa Salem Badr.

 

The dissertation aimed at studying the effect of Serratiopeptidase enzyme purified from Serratia Marcescens isolated from clinical sources on cancer cells represented by MCF-7 and blood clot.

The dissertation concluded that the effectiveness of Serratiopeptidase on breast cancer cell lines is within 24 hours with a value of µg/ml IC50 217.4, and the ability of Serratiopeptidase to analyze human blood clots at different concentrations after two hours.
