College of Veterinary Medicine, Al-Qasim Green University organized a symposium on hemorrhagic fever
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed the characteristics of the causative agent of the disease and its propagation methods as well as the importance of joint action among health and veterinary services, universities and legal authorities to reduce and prevent spreading of the disease.
The symposium recommended the necessity of forcing the butchers to wear the biological safety equipment and the veterinary scientific supervision on the destruction of the massacres as well as notifying the checkpoints to prevent transporting the livestock’s among the cities.
It is worth mentioning that the symposium also reviewed Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic virus which spreads via direct contact with animals such as cattle, sheep and goats.
